Block Lotto winner---double!

Here's a twin-sized quilt I made from two months of blocks I won very close together. The star block were made from Asian fabrics, and the circles, if I remember correctly, could be from any fabric.
I chose green for the sashing because I knew I was going to give the to my youngest son, Peter, whose favorite color is green.
I'm not sure why, but this quilt has turned out to be one of my favorites of all the quilts I have ever made...maybe because it's so scrappy? Or maybe because I remember the thrill of winning the blocks two times so close together?

This is a sampler quilt I made with blocks I won from Block Lotto. I really loved working with this 1930s reproduction fabric, and I was very excited to win! I had the quilt machine-quilted for me by Janice in Newark, NJ.

First Post

I've been feeling lately like I'm the only member of the Block Lotto who doesn't have a blog to call her own, so I'm giving it a shot.
