Scrappy Trip top finished

I just finished sewing the borders on the Scrappy Trip I've been working on, and I couldn't wait to take a photo, even though the light's not great. But you get the idea. It's a queen-sized quilt, and it is square. The colors are a little darker than they look in this photo. I'm pleased with how it came out, and I'm pleased to not have yet another UFO in my fabric closet to ignore. I plan to send it off to be machine quilted to I have time to work on Orca Bay and other projects. I'll post another photo when I get the entire quilt finished!

  2. I really like this pattern and you did a great job with the border! I especially like the way the darker diagonals go through the cross pieces at the corners. Awesome!

  4. Love your version! Great idea for the border. I've just finished putting my Scrappy Trips blocks together. I THOUGHT the top was finished, but after seeing yours, I know I have more work to do. Thanks for the inspiration! Toni
